This is life changing

Hello hello G’s and G’ettes

So picture this

You're exploring the depths of South East Asia

Making friends

Seeing the world

Basically living the dream.

You sit back and think:

'I went travelling ALONE and I'm actually doing it'.

My biggest fear before heading out?

Make no friends and feeling completely lost and isolated..

But somehow I met great people

And was part of the 'travel squad'.

Since childhood I'd always felt left out and unwanted

So man-

This was the greatest feeling.

But that's when it happened..

After touring Thailand for a month I arrived in Luang Prabang

- a small city in the north of Laos

And felt the underdeveloped nature straight away.

See

Before going I had this gut feeling to not go to Laos

But had this scarcity mindset I might not make friends again

..stupid in hindsight.

I carried on anyway and on my second day headed to go see the waterfall.

The views of the journey were beautiful-

The journey not so much..

I could tell my bike was sketchy

And spent the drive takin' it easy.

All but 2 minutes away from the destination

An old Laotian man stepped towards me and yelled:

'YUD YUD'

— (Lao for stop)

So I hit on the breaks

And that's when it happened..

Expecting to end up half way across the road

I jumped off and landed.

Except..

Landing was a bad idea.

On one straight leg, I took the impact

But turns out 1 cheeky lil bone in your knee supports your bodyweight.

And when you send force thru it?

Yeah..

that fucker gives in.

I started limping instantly

But also tryin’ to decompose wtf just happened..

The Laotian approaches me saying sorry

.. then lets me know he was advertising me his car park.

Yep

I broke my knee for a car park..

In that moment I had this realisation:

‘If you wanna do cool shit in life, sometimes it fucks up’. - Marley, 2023

You wanna sit home in your bedroom for 10 years?

Cool. Nothing will happen to you.

But if you wanna see life’s beauty you gotta accept the fuckeries.

Somehow I got myself back to my hotel

And my friends shoulder lifted me to a seat.

We looked down at the knee, it won’t bend and was twice the size.

The following days and weeks I spent getting MRIs and seeing knee specialists.

I got it drained of 60ML of fatty blood (Lipohaemarthrosis)

Worst fucking pain of my life.

Then the doctor told me my bone has moved 4mm

And if I leave it my bone heals in the wrong place.

But there's also a risk the surgery won't work

What a dilemma to have in the middle of Asia lol...

I've decided to go the natural route and heal with proper nutrition.

The diet is fortunately similar to my current one, except increased amounts:

  • Eggs

  • Steak

  • Blueberries

  • Watermelon

  • Whey protein

  • Milk / yoghurt

  • Grass-fed butter

And my healing 'stack' looks like:

  • Boron

  • Calcium

  • Omega 3

  • Vitamin C

  • Vitamin D3

  • Vitamin K2

  • Cissus quadrangularis

This is a solid basis for bone strengthening, healing and repair.

But a superior protocol I would opt for is:

BPC 157 and TB 500.

Peptides are incredible in the right context

And these two have specific healing properties.

Unfortunately they aren't available in Thailand

But thanks to a healthy lifestyle I’m healing rapid in just a few weeks.

In these moments all you can do is stay positive and do everything else to your highest performance

This is the difference between winners and losers.

Loser dwell in their shitty situation and say 'oh well'

Winners seek the positives and FIND how to still succeed.

Training’s in full swing (minus legs)

Working back to hitting high steps

And the mindset is fucking locked in.

This is nothing new

I'll be back better and stronger.

Hope you can extra some lessons outta my fuck ups

If not ya can steal mine:

  • life's not 'fair'

  • always trust your gut

  • accept bad days come

  • it's HOW you deal with shit

  • there's a reason for everything.

Appreciate the love and support homies!

Peace out

Marley 'gimme seat A1’ McBride.
